    JOB DESCRIPTION

    Fox Corporation is looking for a self-motivated Senior Back-end Developer to join our New York Consumer Platforms & Engineering team. As a Senior Back-end Developer, you will engage in the development of highly available cloud-based services, including API services, back-end frameworks, and administrative tools for Fox digital properties. You will also be an advocate for development best practices, including TDD, Pair Programming, and CI/CD, have a passion to keep learning the latest technologies, and create forward-thinking solutions. Working along with our Project and Product Management teams, our developer teams integrate into the full process of design and implementation.

  • Utilize TDD to implement unit tests on new development, and implement E2E testing with automation in mind
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and security
  • Drive the development of our enterprise Content Management System using OOP and decoupled architectures
  • Integrate with custom Node-based microservices that power our CMS and APIs
  • Mentor other developers on our team
  • Work directly with other Business Units and participate in project planning
  • Participate in code design and architecting

  • WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Strong understanding of Javascript, TypeScript, PHP
  • Proficiency with WordPress development, with focus on plugin development and architecture.
  • 8+ years professional experience; Enterprise systems preferred
  • Write maintainable and scalable code that implements OO design patterns
  • Familiarity with implementing middleware, custom routing, and proxies
  • Experience with mentoring developers, completing code review and managing production releases.
  • Understanding of code design and architecture; Focusing on extensible clean code and TDD

    #foxtechPursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is: $121, ,500.00 annually for California, Washington, New York City and Westchester County, NY. $101, ,700.00 annually for Colorado. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
