- Adhering to HIPAA and OSHA regulations and policies.
- Assisting with patient care including organizing patient flow, accompanying patients, collecting specimens, and more.
- Handling clerical duties such as managing patient records, scheduling appointments, and verifying insurance coverage.
- Maintaining a clean and organized healthcare environment.
- Respecting patient rights and responding to emergencies appropriately.
- Performing any other tasks as assigned.
- Understanding of the healthcare field.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients and their families.
- Strong attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
- Flexibility and ability to prioritize tasks.
- Compassion and empathy towards others.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA/ RMA/ ABR-OE) required.
- High School Diploma.
- Graduation from a medical assisting program preferred.
- Minimum of one year's experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a medical office.

Job Description:
We are looking for a Medical Assistant to join our team and be responsible for supporting providers with patient care, organizing appointments, assisting with office procedures, and handling clerical tasks when needed. The ideal candidate will also uphold a positive image of our medical office. This role will be based in both our Norwalk and Sandusky offices.
