Description

The accounting manager will be responsible for supervising and managing the accounting processes for Veldhouse Construction. Must have a strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

The accounting manager will be responsible for preparing and/or reviewing appropriate general ledger entries and reconciliations to produce complete and accurate financials.

This position will work closely and communicate regularly with the Accounts Payable Department, Controller and Director of Operations. The accounting manager will supervise, evaluate and monitor all day-to-day accounting activities. Strong communication skills and ability to delegate work to appropriate parties are important.

Duties:
Oversee accounting daily operationsMonitor and analyze accounting dataReconcile and review accounting transactions.

Make adjusting entries as necessaryPreparation of monthly financials statement reportsMonthly reconciliation of jobsJob costingPercentage of completion calculations and financial statement adjustmentsReview all purchases and sales of assets to ensure gain is properly recordedReconcile completed contracts and record gain/loss appropriatelyHelp develop and prepare monthly management reportsAdhere to proper accounting methods, policies and principlesOversee accounts receivable processPut together monthly client billings and communicate/distribute to appropriate partiesBi-weekly payroll and associated tax filings and reportingAnnual 1099 filingsExcise tax return filingsPreparation of financial information for annual insurance auditMiscellaneous accounting projects as requested by the ControllerAssist accounts payable team as necessary to complete tasks as neededBe a resource to help staff with questions/issues as they ariseContinue to help develop accounting processes and procedures for Veldhouse ConstructionBuild efficiencies and provide recommendationsBenefits:401K; Health, Dental, Vision, Life insurance; Paid holidaysCompetitive Pay depending on experience.
