JBAndrews are working with a leading flavor manufacturer who are seeking a procurement director to transform their flavor procurement agenda, where they can steer and drive it forward with speed and agility.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Global Procurement Team:
Manage and implement sourcing strategies to ensure lowest overall cost and mitigate risks for the corporation. Develop and motivate personnel, overseeing recruitment for efficiency and high morale.
Align Category Strategies:
Ensure alignment of category strategies with business goals across four global regions. Regularly interact with Regional Procurement and visit local units for strategic alignment.
Stakeholder Management:
Actively engage with senior stakeholders to align and implement strategies for the Flavor business. You will also be working very closely with internal cross-functional teams, from R&D to commercial.
Standardization and Integration:
Lead efforts in global process standardization and change management, fostering internal and external alignment and integration.
Supplier Relationship Management:
Oversee large global supplier relationships spanning multiple procurement categories.
Harmonization of flavor libraries and consolidation of portfolios
Required Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a relevant field.
Experience:
Over 10 years in strategic Flavor procurement, leading cross-functional global teams, and developing direct reports. Proven expertise in managing global supply chains.
Market Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of critical raw material markets for Specialty Flavors production.
Supply Chain Optimization:
Proficient in material functionality, flow, and handling for optimizing supply chain effectiveness.
Integration Skills:
Good grasp of how procurement integrates with the end-to-end value chain and commercial partners.
Innovation Insight:
Understanding of how innovation within categories contributes to growth initiatives.
Communication:
Effective communication and diplomacy skills essential for guiding and influencing senior stakeholders, global suppliers, and cross-functional colleagues.
Project Management:
Proficient in project management and process improvement methodologies.
