    Job SummaryAs an HVAC Estimating & Design Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects from different geographic locations. This position plays a key role in maintaining and improving the accuracy of HVAC bids and designs for new residential projects. You will be responsible for producing software-assisted load calculations and drawings based on floor plans and builder specifications. You must have excellent communication and problem- solving skills, be highly organized, and have a keen eye for detail. Job duties and functions related to HVAC Estimating & Design may change according to department needs. This position can be remote.
    General Responsibilities
    • Convert builder plans from PDF to DWG files.
    • Create and modify basic drawings in Wrightsoft software.
    • Enter builder specifications into Wrightsoft software to create detailed Manual J/S/D load calculations.
    • Ensure that drawings and load calculations comply with ASHRAE and L&S standards.
    • Develop and maintain an accurate record of changes made to drawings.
    • Assist HVAC estimators, designers, and starts coordinators in the entire job process from bid to design and takeoff.
    • Actively participate in regular meetings to discuss project progress.

    Qualifications
    • Data entry experience required.
    • Standard proficiency in computer applications. Some CAD experience preferred.
    • Knowledge of HVAC systems and principles preferred.
    • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
    • Excellent time management and communication skills.
    • Excellent attention to detail.
