- 1st Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM
- 2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM
- Safely load and unload chemicals and oil into tanker trucks and railcars.
- Ensure proper positioning and securing of trucks/railcars at the loading rack.
- Conduct visual inspections to verify the mechanical soundness and proper equipment of trucks/railcars.
- Wear required protective clothing and equipment, including respirators.
- Connect and disconnect loading arms/hoses and manage product transfer using gauges and strapping tables.
- Operate engines and pumps within defined parameters.
- Monitor weight before and after transfers to comply with DOT certification.
- Inspect transfer systems for leaks, complete required paperwork, and ensure proper sealing of containers.
- Operate forklifts and other lifting devices to move products and materials.
- Climb onto and inspect trucks and railcars, following a checklist for safety and sealing.
- Read and interpret bills of material, safety rules, and operational procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Education: High school diploma or GED.
- Experience: 1-3 months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Certification: Valid forklift operator certificate (training and certification provided by the company).
- Language: Proficiency in English; bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
- Mathematical Skills: Basic mathematical aptitude, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure and complete basic fraction calculations.
- Communication Skills: Ability to read, write, and understand instructions and procedure manuals. Able to write routine reports and correspondence and interpret various documents.
- Frequent use of hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- Regularly lift and move up to 50 pounds; occasionally lift and move up to 100 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required, including distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Work in seasonal outdoor areas or warehouses, using man lifts and operating at heights, with hand tools in tight or enclosed spaces.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, high noise levels, and potentially hazardous chemicals.
