Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Mechanical Representative to support our vehicle maintenance operations. This position is responsible for diagnosing mechanical concerns, authorizing appropriate repairs, and ensuring clear communication between repair facilities, clients, and service advisors.
The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of vehicle systems—both mechanical and electrical—along with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and direct drivers to appropriate repair facilities (mechanical and/or collision).
- Communicate with repair shops, service advisors, and clients to review vehicle concerns and service needs.
- Evaluate and approve necessary repairs, ensuring accuracy, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
- Document all conversations, updates, and repair authorizations within the company's computer system.
- Create and maintain preventative maintenance schedules and mechanical service certificates.
- Keep organized logs of work performed, issues identified, and repair outcomes.
Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of automotive systems, including mechanical and electrical components.
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical issues in clear, understandable terms.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and high attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
