Then the Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at Seneca Family of Agencies is perfect for youABOUT STEPThe Skills, Transitions, Exploration and Progress (STEP) Program is a partnership between Kaiser Permanente and Seneca Family of Agencies located in Solano, CA. STEP provides intensive, short-term and stabilization services enabling youth to reintegrate into school and the community with lower levels of outpatient mental health treatment.

    YOUR ROLESeneca operates a wide variety of programs, including school-based programs, community-based programs, and crisis services and is looking for qualified child psychiatrists eager to work within multi-disciplinary teams in collaborative, innovative settings which are client and family-focused.

    Physicians also enjoy being part of a growing and supportive department of physicians, nurse practitioners and nurses within the greater agency.

    Our clients include children, adolescents, and the Transitional Age Youth population. The Kaiser STEP program primarily serves adolescents.

    While a majority of the hours are required to be in-person , a portion of hours may be provided via telehealth.

    ABOUT THE PROCESSAs a Joint Commission accredited behavioral health organization, all consulting psychiatrists must undergo a credentialing process, and early applications are encouraged even for future openings.

    Complete initial and ongoing evaluations of clients to determine medication and treatment needsPrescribe and monitor medicationsProvide consultation and education to treatment staff regarding medication use as part of the treatment regimenMaintain timely and accurate paperwork and health insurance documentationAdditional responsibilities as by the Program Director, Assistant Program Director and/or Agency Medical DirectorQualifications: Board eligibility or certification in Child/Adolescent PsychiatryActive California Medical License, Current and Valid DEA CertificateSuccessful completion of Senecas credentialing processProof of liability insuranceTB test clearance, fingerprint clearances, and any other State/Federal licensing or certification requirementsValid California driver's license and insurability through Seneca's automobile policyProof of COVID-19 vaccination and booster requiredSchedule: Approximately 16 hours per week Hybrid (in-person and online) work schedule Benefits: Starting $250 to $270 per hour, with actual salary dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications for the roleContracted positionKeywords: Non-profit, Nonprofit, Non for Profit, Mental Health, Youth, Advocate, Children, Family, Families, Behavioral Health, Healthcare, Services, Adolescent, Psychiatry, Medical, Pediatrics, Well Being, Outpatient
