The Product Manager will understand the strategic market context for their product and ensure it evolves to a place of stable, proactive growth.
You will become a subject matter expert not only on your product, but also about how it integrates into other pipelines.
In your work you will deeply understand how to uncover customer needs using empathy and structured problem solving to unpack the stickiest issues and transform them into a world class product experience.
ResponsibilitiesWhat You'll Be Doing:
Gather and document business requirements/use cases for features
Write requirements in PRD and associated acceptance criteria
Draft external and internal facing documentation for any feature release understanding the difference in detail and voice required by each
Train all supporting staff (e.g. support, other departments) on your product's features
Run user acceptance testing on any feature release
Diagnose bugs
Help set up and monitor key product metrics
Understand common support challenges and translate into feature requests or training requirements for the support teams
Understand how your product's data is stored and how your product feeds other data sources in the company in order to troubleshoot issues
Understand the product's data requirements (e.g. if a change is made to the user interface, what are the backend data implications)
Understand the complexities of the supplier, retailer and regulatory space and how this relates to your product
Participate in scrum ceremonies (stand up, retrospective, planning meetings) and be engaged with the team throughout the product life cycle
Prioritize and maintain a balance between on-going maintenance/bugs, new feature requests and continuously evolving with changes in technology and customer landscape.
Provide support to keep the engineering team working efficiently and aligned with the overall product strategyPartner with the Design team to ensure that the UI matches feature objectives and enhances the customer experience
Requirements
Your Experience + Skills:
5+ years of product experience (data or software)
Demonstrated ability to identify, write and communicate product features for internal and external audiences
Proven "roll up your sleeves and get it done" reputation in previous endeavors
Meticulous attention to detail
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with people at all levels of the organization
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Experience and understanding of retail or CPG industries
Compensation from $130,000 based on experience
