    Description

    We're looking for an Architectural Designer

    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    You'll be involved in the creative phases of projects while working closely with principal architects on variously scaled projects from Pre-Design through Contract Administration.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:


    • Developing and maintaining 3D ArchiCAD models at all stages of design


    • Producing permit and construction drawings


    • Feasibility studies, research, and presentation packages

    Strong candidates will:


    • have expertise working with BIM software, ArchiCAD, Microsoft and Adobe products


    • hold a Professional Architecture degree from an accredited university


    • have 5-10 years post-grad experience in a design setting with focus on detailed construction documents


    • be devoted to architecture and the process of design


    • have an interest in, and understanding of, construction assemblies, material properties, etc.


    • be able to communicate effectively verbally, graphically, including freehand drawing and writing


    • be skilled at researching and resolving technical issues, including sustainable building practices such as LEED and Passive House


    • demonstrate desire to impact our global community

    Established in 2015, Laroy Gant and Tom Nychay have developed a multifaceted practice with a strong focus on highly crafted and detailed design. We collaborate in West Seattle in an open office space with hybrid schedule options. GNA services the Greater Seattle Area, but that doesn't stop us from accepting projects throughout WA and OR states. We're a small, closely knit team where each person contributes to a project in one way or another.

    Together with organization, planning and communication, our approach results in well designed and well built buildings.
