    Overview of Job Responsibilities

    Investment Operations Analyst (Mutual Funds and ETF's)

    The position will assist with responsibilities around PLFA operational matters including Fund-of-Fund trade rebalances, foreign markets oversight, and general operational oversight. The position may also have various involvement with vendors and custodians, 15-C analyses, and other investment or operational oriented projects as we continue to change and innovate as a group.

    There are many support functions within operations. The ideal candidate does not necassarily have to have experience in every category below, as most of these are trainable. Here is a summary of some, but not all, of the responsibilities this position will be involved with:

    • Trade Rebalances assist with Fund-of-Fund asset allocation rebalance trades, which requires the repositioning of holdings across our mutual funds and ETF's.
    • Assist with new fund setup, fund closures and asset manager transition's processes.
    • New Product Launch (Synthetic Exposure) assist with the onboarding process for the launch of a new product line-up. Once live, collaborate directly with our traders and middle office vendor for derivatives trade reconciliations, settlements, and daily monitoring of collateral. This is a new initiative and if approved by the board, we expect the new hire to assist with operational matters on this product.
    • Best Execution/Transaction Cost Analysis (TCA) assist with the process of quarterly reporting for the trading costs and soft dollar usage of our mutual funds. Work with our third-party TCA vendor and our asset managers to assess equity trading costs for Best Execution and Soft Dollar oversight.
    • Foreign Custody areas will include assisting with the review and completion of general POA's, Proxy POA's, foreign market opening documentation, and KYC documentation.
    • Foreign Tax Oversight areas will include assisting with tax relief-at-source, tax reclaim documentation, and tax related documents from the IRS.
    • Class Actions assist with litigation and class action lawsuits with our internal Legal team by working with our class action vendor (SCAS) and our custodian bank.

    Preferred Experience & Qualifications

    • 3-5+ years' experience working in the field of finance, insurance, asset management, etc.
    • College degree in business, finance, or similar discipline and/or equivalent work experience.
    • Working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products with an intermediate level in Excel.
    • Comfortable with multi-tasking across an array of projects and prioritizing tasks effectively.
    • Analytical skills with mindfulness and accuracy.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Effective interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal teams and external counterparties.
