    Summary


    The Senior Systems Administrator will configure, maintain, and support cloud-based solutions as well as internal and/or external networks, applications, and systems for the Buckle corporate office and remote locations as well as remote Teammates and some store environments.

    This position requires the ability to manage a variety of assignments through multitasking and project management.

    The Teammate in this role will demonstrate a range of tasks from tedious to highly technical with a high level of proficiency and possess exceptional technical communication skills.

    Through planning, design, and implementation, the Senior Systems Administrator establishes and maintains a foundation for technological growth, improvement, adaptability, cost savings, and return on investment.

    The position requires being part of an on-call rotation. Remote work arrangements may be considered for those who live within 200 miles of Kearney, Nebraska. Periodic travel to the corporate office will be required.


    Essential Duties and Responsibilities


    • Serve as a mentor and escalation point providing second and third level support for Corporate IT System Administrators and Help Desk Technicians.
    • Utilize knowledge of new technology to solve business needs and provide recommendations.
    • Ensure the highest level of systems and infrastructure availability.
    • Maintain network equipment, server equipment, and software aligning with best practices and security standards.
    • Perform required changes to services and equipment which includes the physical installation and configuration of network and server hardware, telecommunications devices, appliances, and software.
    • Mitigate security risks associated with systems and applications that have a high technical complexity and/or involve significant challenges to the business.
    • Collaborate with other IT professionals to ensure high-quality deliverables as well as design, implement, and troubleshoot new and existing application, network, and server systems.
    • Administer and maintain a growing cloud environment.
    • Demonstrate above-average to expert-level administration experience in Azure, PowerShell, remote deployment technologies, PowerBI, and SQL.
    • Lead technical analysis of additional tool implementations within cloud environments including requirements gathering, process modeling, and gap analysis mitigation.
    • Utilize information in device logs to assist with problem isolation, resolution, and root cause analysis.
    • Configure new system and application implementation plans, custom scripts, and testing procedures.
    • Establish, maintain, and manage user directory and email accounts.
    • Develop documentation for installing, supporting, and troubleshooting Buckle systems, servers, services, and applications.
    • Establish guidelines and methods for the installation and management of the host computer operating systems, disk arrays, fiber channel switches, and other networking components.
    • Responsible for the day-to-day administration of Active Directory, Windows/Linux operating systems, Microsoft Office 365, Telecommunications software and hardware, and Azure environments.
    • Fulfill mission statement by performing job duties with a high level of customer service while contributing to a positive team spirit.
    • Special projects and other duties as assigned.

    Supervisory Responsibilities

    This job has no supervisory responsibilities but acts as a mentor and escalation point within the department.


    Education and/or Experience


    Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or five to seven years related experience and/or training in Microsoft Windows server administration and Azure cloud technologies; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


    Certifications


    Industry standard certifications such as CompTIA A+, CompTIA Server+, CCNA with a preferred focus on MCP/MCSE, SQL, Azure, BI with the requirement that a certification be obtained annually based on company technological and business needs.

    While performing the duties of this job, the Teammate regularly works in an office setting. Remote work can be considered with the right amount of experience. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
