    Description

    Bright Horizons Family Solutions LLC is accepting applications for a 2024 summer internship opportunity for a student who has completed their 1L/2L day or 4A/5A evening years and has an interest in Contracts and contracts management.

    What you will be doing:

    Support Contract Management

    • Maintain vendor contract databases, ensuring that important legal terms and spend data are accurate and up-to-date for our internal stakeholders to reference.
    • Transfer contracts and metadata from our legacy SharePoint database to the new, enterprise contract lifecycle management tool, Conga.
    • Regularly update the statuses of agreements within our online contract management system.
    • Set up renewal notifications among business owners for key contract dates, including but not limited to expiration and renewal notifications.
    • Upload all contracts and supporting documents.
    • File digital copies of fully executed contracts in the legal online system.
    • Ensure that contract documents align with internal policies for such recordkeeping.
    • Review contractual provisions under Legal supervision; ensure that agreements are appropriately approved and fully executed.
    • Manage contract templates for a variety of agreements.
    • Create and run required contract reports.
    • Participate in monthly contracts review with senior-level staff.

    Sourcing Suppliers

    • Support contract negotiations with vendors.
    • Support drafting of agreements.
    • Conduct research to identify potential vendors, analyze their capabilities, and compare pricing and terms.
    • Assist in preparing Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and supplier questionnaires and in gathering essential information for supplier evaluation.

    Sustainability Initiatives

    • Opportunity to participate in a collaborative, interdepartmental team to research and review our environmental/social/governance (ESG) initiatives and results.

    • Should have an understanding of contracts.

    Be flexible and eager to explore industry-specific software, procurement regulations, and best practices.

    • Stay informed and interested in the latest industry trends.
    • Eagerness to learn and contribute in a fast-paced, international work environment.
