    Job Description:

    The Tax Compliance Director supports a dynamic environment where collaboration with Operations, Legal, Technology and Product groups occur to align Fidelity Institutional s tax reporting and withholding practices with regulatory guidelines and requirements.

    The Role

    You will support and enable growth of Fidelity's Institutional and other businesses by providing sound compliance advice and leadership, anticipating regulatory matters, crafting effective supervisory and compliance programs, implementing new rules. You will provide supervisors with guidance on how processes and functions such as account opening, trading, asset servicing, and security master impact our tax obligations.

    You will collaborate with dedicated professionals on developing new products, services and solutions for our clients and associates.

    Your expertise will be used in conducting assessments, recommending aggressive and incremental improvements, thought leadership and supporting implementation of new technology.

    The Expertise and Skills You Bring
    • At least ten years of tax compliance / regulatory advisory or other confirmed experience.
    • Strong knowledge and understanding of tax regulatory environment as well as federal and state rules and regulations applicable to a clearing firm.
    • Ability to research and apply tax requirements within the existing broker-dealer construct and to new business/product offerings.
    • Experience in compliance, brokerage, or financial industry.

    Desirable
    • Masters or LLM in Taxation, other advanced degree, or equivalent experience; and
    • Previous experience working in the financial services industry in a tax compliance role

    The Team

    In the FI Compliance organization, we are responsible for crafting an oversight and support program that assists Fidelity Institutional with its mission of providing financial intermediaries with solutions for their associates and customers. Fidelity Institutional provides sophisticated offerings and solutions to broker-dealers, registered investment advisers, family offices, capital markets, trust services and retail segments.

    The base salary range for this position is $100,000-$169,000 per year. u00A0

    Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate s relevant experience, and other factors.

    Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation. u00A0u00A0
