Job summary

This position will lead the Pacific Tsunami Museum's tsunami education and training programs with a primary focus on the Kamaʻāina Initiative which provided tsunami preparedness education to over 2000 students last year.

The role is ideal for someone who wants to build and grow an education program not just maintain one you'll have the opportunity to directly impact our community connect with our history and shape how PTM fulfills its mission to create a safer more tsunami-resilient Hawaiʻi.

Key responsibilities include leading daily operations of the Kamaʻāina Initiative coordinating between onsite and offsite programming tracking program metrics preparing regular reports for funders building maintaining relationships with schools emergency management agencies community organizations local government representing PTM at community events professional meetings coordinating with Hawaiʻi Emergency Management Agency county civil defense agencies Pacific Tsunami Warning Center.
