Works as part of team to set up care delivery and procedures for Emergency Department patients.

Assists Emergency Room physicians and other staff in preparing patients for procedures; assists with instruments, applying splints and obtaining lab samples within established procedural guidelines.

Cleans and services hospital areas and performs a variety of duties to maintain the hospital in a neat, orderly and sanitary condition according to established procedures.

Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent. Must have attended nursing school or taken courses related to health arts and sciences and/or completed ED training.
Emergency Department experience preferred.

Current BLS certification or within 30 days of hire (Certification must be current prior to being released from Orientation status and providing independent patient care without an assigned preceptor).Certificate of Completion of a formal program that meets regulatory standards in Conflict resolution, de-escalation and teaches physical intervention techniques.

Must have on hire or obtained within 90 days of hire (i.0e. MOAB, CPI or equivalent).
