    Description
    The Intake/Assessment Specialist is responsible for gathering treatment information and providing assessment services which include screening requests for mental and behavioral health services, evaluation, diagnostic assessment, and referral to ensure the most effective treatment services are provided. The ideal Assessment Specialist candidate will work with a client base ranging from birth through adulthood and should have a broad theoretical knowledge of child and adolescent development, developmental disabilities and psychopathology. A knowledge of Early Childhood Mental Health concerns is an asset. The assessment services are generally delivered in an office setting, however there are occasions when the telehealth virtual platform can be used.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
    • Compiling intake paperwork, scheduling to complete the diagnostic assessments.
    • Has the ability to work effectively with diversity both in clients and co-workers
    • Maintain client records and other documentation and file clinical reports in a timely manner
    • Has good communication skills – both verbal and written and a basic knowledge of computers and Microsoft Word.
    • Scheduling is flexible; however, some evening and weekend availability is required.

    Education & Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in social with Ohio LSW; or,
    • Master's degree in counseling or social work, Marriage and Family Therapist, and license as LISW, LISW-S, LPC, LPCC, LPCC-S or, MFT, IMFT or IMFT-S.
    • May be Registered as a Counselor Trainee or a Social Worker Trainee in Pipeline's Internship Program.
    • Two years (or more) verifiable experience in a mental health setting providing prevention services and or mental health therapy is preferred.
