Our Regulatory Specialist supports the Colgate Home Care business and Technology functions in the maintenance of existing products and aids in the development of new products for the U.S. and Canadian markets. This support includes assisting in regulatory activities necessary to maintain and to grow the U.S. Home Care franchise. This position is responsible for advancing the implementation of regulatory strategies for new and existing products regulated under the cleaning product, consumer product, and antimicrobial pesticide and disinfectant drug regulatory classifications.
**What you will do**
Assist with day-to-day support for new product development activities to foster category growth and expansion, with emphasis on antimicrobial pesticides and disinfectants
Provide project management assistance to help prioritize tasks, manage meetings, update timelines, identify project risks and follow up on forward actions/deliverables
Coordinate development, review and approval of product labels against state and federal labeling requirements and recommend changes to optimize labeling for North America
Manage the maintenance of Safer Choice certified products and their process governance
Collaborate with business and technical partners to support development and implementation of technical strategies
Participate in Trade Association Meetings and communicate trends that may impact Home Care products and processes
Identify opportunities to align and streamline NA regulatory activities that support the NA Home Care business; develop best practice/work instructions and apply recommended improvements to departmental and cross-functional procedures
Beta-test and provide feedback on changes to technology solutions, that are intended to automate regulatory solutions; identify recommended technology fixes or enhancements, including designs for canned reports
Administer invoice processing and work with Finance to optimize the payment process
Liaise with cross-functional partners and external vendors to identify, develop and deliver training on antimicrobial pesticides
**Required Qualifications**
Bachelor's Degree
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite or Google tools (Sheets, Slides, Documents)
**Preferred Qualifications**
Bachelor's Degree in Life Sciences preferred (e.g., Chemistry, Biology, Microbiology)
Experience with consumer cleaning products is favored
A minimum of 2 years of US Regulatory experience with antimicrobial pesticide regulations
Experience with EPA Safer Choice partnership program
Knowledge of FHSA and/or CCCR regulation of hazardous substances
Strong attention to detail with high degree of accuracy
Effective project management and organizational skills
Good communication skills (interpersonal, writing and oral)
Self-starter with high degree of independence
