Job summary
This is a patient care coordinator position responsible for processing new orders received by phone fax mail or walk-ins maintaining positive relationships with patients referrals advising patients on insurance benefits coordinating delivery setup of equipment providing documentation required to qualify patients based on their insurance coverage.
- Maintains updates monthly supply re-orders lists for ventilator enteral tracheotomy diaper sleep patients.
- Works with patients physicians discharge planner referral sources to obtain information required to process orders re-orders advises patient caregiver on insurance benefits financial responsibility coordinates delivery setup of equipment provides documentation required to qualify patients based on their insurance coverage maintains patient order information in computer system primary function provides telephone inquiries regarding orders insurance benefits other service issues participates On-Call Saturday CSR rotation performs related duties assigned.
