- Provides psychosocial support to patients and families throughout therapy and rehabilitation.
- Facilitates or schedules consultations, pre-testing, diagnostic tests or procedures and future appointments required for admission to the program and throughout the transplant process.
- Provides expert care for the transplant patient at all phases of the process consistent with established standards and utilization of the nursing process.
- Provides patient, family, community, and professional education to those interested in the process of transplantation.
- RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
- Minimum three years actively practicing as a registered nurse, including at least two years oncology experience.
- Willing to consider a mid or senior level candidate.

Under general supervision, the RN Transplant Coordinator, Coordinates the transplant department and provides comprehensive nursing care to patients and families during all phases of the transplant program.
This includes physiological, psychological, and developmental differences unique to each group. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include Code of Ethics and Business Standards.Reviews and reports the results of the health status assessment and physical examination, pertinent laboratory data, radiographic data and psychosocial assessment of assigned patients to the transplant physician.
