    Our client is actively seeking a talented Plant Manager to work with a team located in West Memphis, AR. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity with our client. This position is an onsite opportunity.

    Petroleum, Fluid Dynamics, or similar industry experience is required

    Job Overview:

    The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the lubricants production process, ensuring that production meets quality standards, efficiency targets, and safety regulations. Responsible for the profitability of the plant to include, labor expense, environmental, inventory management for raw materials as well as finished goods and managing capital projects.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Production Management: Supervising the production process, ensuring that production targets are met, and maintaining quality standards.
    • Team Leadership: Leading a team of production staff, including operators, technicians, and supervisors, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
    • Safety and Compliance: Ensuring the plant operates in compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards, implementing safety protocols, and conducting regular safety audits.
    • Quality Control: Monitoring product quality, conducting quality tests, and implementing corrective actions to maintain high-quality standards.
    • Inventory Management: Managing inventory levels, overseeing stock replenishment, and ensuring raw materials are available for production.
    • Maintenance and Repair: Coordinating maintenance schedules, overseeing equipment repairs, and ensuring minimal downtime.
    • Budgeting and Cost Control: Developing and managing budgets, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and optimizing production costs.
    • Process Improvement: Identifying areas for process improvement, implementing efficiency measures, and optimizing production processes.
    • Reporting and Documentation: Preparing production reports, maintaining production records, and ensuring documentation is up to date.
    • Communication Skills: Effectively communicating with team members, senior management, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
    Requirements:
    • Engineering Degree or other related discipline
    • 10 years of overall experience as a minimum including experience in the Petroleum industry is required. In addition, other fluid manufacturing including blending and packaging is required. Other chemical industry processing experience may be acceptable.
    • Lean manufacturing experience, six sigma certified.
    • Problem-solving skills
    • Demonstrated direct and indirect people management experience of 250 people (mix of hourly and salary) in a non union shop
    • Logistics experience to include experience working with bulk truck loading, shipping, trains, barges, etc.

    A reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role is $170,000 - $175,000 per year.

    The disclosed pay range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. The compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case, such as skills and experience levels.
