    Description

    SMV Recruiting is currently looking for a Lab Technician to work for our manufacturing client in Syracuse, NY. Our client is seeking someone who has performed testing, tuning and inspections on products by utilizing blueprints and other material in the manufacturing/assembly industry. This is a direct hire role with full benefits, opportunities for growth, and competitive pay

    Repsonsibilities:

    • Test, fine-tune, and produce assigned units with precision
    • Test a wide range of standard cable products
    • Read and utilize blueprints, drawings, catalogs, and other materials effectively
    • Execute network analyzer procedures and repeat them when needed
    • Master the calibration of equipment and ensure the proper handling and maintenance of connectors, adapters, and calibration standards
    • Measure various filter parameters accurately including 26 GHz
    • Prioritize safety in all tasks and actively propose improvements to enhance plant safety
    • Actively listen and follow directions from supervisors/managers and fulfill any additional duties as required

    Requirements:

    • Associates or Bachelors degree in quality assurance and/or engineering or a related field is strongly preferred
    • 3-5+ years of experience in assembly is required
    • 3-5+ years of experience in testing products in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred
    • Ability to perform basic math and analyze blueprints and drawings
