    Manager, Distribution Center & Warehouse

    Position Summary*The Warehouse Manager is responsible for the direct management and handling of all warehousing and distribution functions at the organizations warehouse facilities. They are accountable for costs, performance, and quality of outbound freight, as well as adherence to safety and organizational policies and procedures.


    Primary Responsibilities:

    • Manage the warehouse through continued communication with Team Leaders and employees to meet or exceed established cost and productivity goals.
    • Ensure proper use and best practices of the warehouse management system (WMS/ SAP) by all Warehouse personnel inside building and on drop lots as well as outside storage.
    • Ensuring safe, secure handling and storage of all finished product as well as shipping supplies in and outside storage operations of finished goods.
    • Identify resources (personnel, financial, systems) necessary to support the long-range warehouse operation plans. Actively understand and manage automated warehouse facilities.
    • Identify and plan for continuous improvement activities on an on-going basis for warehouse operations to improve customer service, labor efficiencies, and cost. Implement approved recommendations in a timely and thorough fashion, employing a TPM mind set for improving shipping, manufacturing and safety.
    • Prepare monthly budget variances reports and analyze expenditures to assure compliance with plans, policies, procedures, and cost reduction activities

    Basic Requirements:

    • Bachelors Degree in a Supply Chain, Business, or related field required.
    • 5+ years of warehouse management experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, transportation, military, or related environment required.
