    Description


    DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

    Act as main Supplier and Sr. Management window in negotiating and resolving costing, quality and delivery issues.


    SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:


    • Represent YUSA in negotiating costing, lead times and tooling with suppliers
    • Issue and track RFQ packets to current supply base
    • Locate potential new vendors of materials or components and interview them to determine product availability and terms of sales
    • Participate in the development of specifications for products or substitute materials.
    • Support to resolve supplier grievances and claims against YUSA.
    • Support in the creation and control purchasing department budgets.
    • Review and evaluate costing and other specifications for awarding business.
    • Performs onsite assessments/audits at suppliers as needed
    • Monitor supplier development activities to assure supplier readiness
    • Prepare and issue monthly reports for Sr. Management review and approval
    • Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of YUSA
    Strong verbal and written communication skills

    DESCRIPTION OF QUALIFICATIONS:

    Education:
    Bachelors or equivalent experience in a related field


    Experience:
    Prior Purchasing experience preferred. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint abilities. Ability to read, understand and envision component drawings.
