- Represent YUSA in negotiating costing, lead times and tooling with suppliers
- Issue and track RFQ packets to current supply base
- Locate potential new vendors of materials or components and interview them to determine product availability and terms of sales
- Participate in the development of specifications for products or substitute materials.
- Support to resolve supplier grievances and claims against YUSA.
- Support in the creation and control purchasing department budgets.
- Review and evaluate costing and other specifications for awarding business.
- Performs onsite assessments/audits at suppliers as needed
- Monitor supplier development activities to assure supplier readiness
- Prepare and issue monthly reports for Sr. Management review and approval
- Support, communicate, reinforce and defend the mission, values and culture of YUSA
