    General Purpose:
    Work with program teams & the people we support to develop and
    secure volunteer opportunities, paid & non-paid internships, activities, and job opportunities in the community.


    Essential Functions:

    • Develop 6 individual or group volunteer opportunities a month
    • Develop 6 community activities / connections a month
    • Develop individual opportunities based on Person Centered
    Planning and needs assessment


    • Create a monthly activities calendar & maintain a resources folder
    • Responsible for weekly email blast to all sites w/ community activities & resources
    • Develop and maintain a network of businesses for ongoing volunteer /
    internship placements and/or work sites


    • Educate employers on relevant program and placement issues: disability
    issues as they relate to consumers & employment, ADA issues, tax credits,
    job modifications, etc


    • Meet weekly w/ job developers from other parts of the agency to share leads
    and work as a team


    • Provide pre-employment services in conjunction w/ program staff,
    including resume writing, filling out applications w/ individuals, and running
    interview preparation groups


    • Knowledge of Social Security work incentives & how employment effects
    an individuals benefits; be able to calculate & explain SSI & SSDI
    benefits plans to clients


    • Maintain a record of site development activities
    • Complete and maintain billing and tracking paperwork as required by funding source(s)
    • Perform other related duties as assigned by JD Supervisor and/or
    Management

    Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:
    Describe the skills, knowledge and
    abilities required. Include minimum
    educational and experience requirements and preferences.


    • High school or GED preferred; college a plus
    • Experience as a Job Developer and/or in Sales or related field
    preferred


    • Ability to cultivate and maintain relationships with business and
    industry with a particular focus on providing volunteer / internship /
    employment opportunities in various fields


    • Excellent technological and communication skills, both oral and written
    • Strong presentation and networking skills
    • Must be a team player and have strong work ethic
    • Must be flexible, open to new ideas, creative, and energetic
    • Must be able to prioritize work tasks and manage multiple projects
    • Ability to use LinkedIn, web based technologies, online meeting platforms, MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
    Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:30pm
    37.5 hours a week
