JOB SUMMARY
The Critical Care Transport - Paramedic works under the direction of the medical director and supervision of transport management is responsible for providing safe and the highest quality patient-centered care to critically ill or injured patients from all age groups. This individual will deliver patient care in a variety of settings including, scenes, interfacility transport, and hospital. The Critical Care Transport – Paramedic practices at a professional level that serves to build and maintain relationships with hospital departments, referring organizations, and 911 services in order to promote integrated delivery systems.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION
Minimum Required: Graduate of an EMT-P training course or related courses.
Preferred / Optional: Graduate of an EMT-P training course. Associate's degree in related field.
EXPERIENCE
Minimum Required: One year of EMS experience. Demonstrated critical thinking skill, communication, and interpersonal skills in highly stressful environment. Demonstrated knowledge of emergency vehicles and traffic laws and operations.
Preferred/Optional: Three years of Critical Care experience and experience as a paramedic.
CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position. Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.
