    Summary



    This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for AcqDemo Business and Technical Management Career Path (NH) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

    About the Position: This IT Specialist (INFOSEC) position is assigned to the Program Executive Officer, Intelligence Electronic Warfare & Sensors, Project Manager Cyber and Space Product Manager, IW Cyber Development, located at Hanover, Maryland.



    Duties

    • Serves as a senior Cybersecurity Manager and technical expert with assigned responsibility for cybersecurity matters within the command.
    • Performs oversight reviews to monitor program implementation and practices in meeting the cybersecurity requirements.
    • Work efforts must be coordinated and integrated with the Product Mangers, Product Directors and other technical and functional areas of the organization.
    • Leads high-level Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to implement the cybersecurity directives.
    • Oversees and coordinates work through Information Assurance Security Officer/Risk Assessment Teams to ensure that the required cybersecurity objectives are met.
    • Provides guidance on the required authorization process and procedures, and appropriate Information Technology (IT) security measures required by the systems.
    • Provides Information Systems Security Engineers, Information Systems Security Managers and Program ISSM with support in terms of investigating and resolving Cybersecurity issues or discrepancies.
    • Takes any steps that may be necessary to ensure timely authorization of the program portfolio systems. Maintains database of system accreditation status, develops reports, and alerts system proponents when authorization documentation must be updated.
    • Provides or coordinate the Cybersecurity Engineering efforts and support to the required Assessment and Authorization (A and A) process for various network requirements.
    • Plans and coordinates for gathering information necessary to validate system security accreditations and to validate functioning security measures.
