    Description

    The RF Test Engineer III is a high level role that would provide RF Equipment and component knowledge to the production team.

    The main role is supporting the production of highly sophisticated electronic equipment.

    Much of this hardware is radio frequency based, and as such, requires familiarity with RF Test Equipment such as spectrum analyzers, frequency synthesizer and network analyzers.

    You would often need to provided troubleshooting and diagnostic advise to the production team and work together with Development and Software Engineering and Production technicians to resolve issues.


    The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area provides affordable, turn-key command/control, communications, integrated ISR, force protection and security solutions worldwide.

    The MST team has a long legacy of supporting the Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, commercial and international customers with years of experience in platform operations, engineering and full lifecycle management across domains - air, land, sea, space and cyber.


    Responsibilities:

    • Provide RF Engineering support related tasks for Production
    • Provide System and LRU level RF debugging and diagnostics for existing RF measurement stations.
    • Assist in developing new RF based Test Fixtures.
    • Assist in establishing and maintaining RF Test System configuration management.
    • Assist in establishing RF Test System validation procedures.

    Must-haves:

    • Bachelor's of Science degree in Engineering or other related discipline and typically 5 or more years of experience
    • Knowledge of RF engineering principles and practices
    • Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
    • Knowledge of requirements management, system design, and systems integration
    • Experience with planning, conducting and documenting Verification and Validation (V&V) activities
    • Familiarity with RF Measurement Equipment and Test Methods
    • Familiarity with Antenna Measurement Equipment and Test Methods
    • RF System Verification and Validation
    • Ability to obtain and maintain United States Secret Clearance

    Preferred:

    • Experience with various testing equipment, standards, and methodologies to include manual and automated testing
    • Ability to prepare complex and professional test plans, test procedures, and test reports in order to demonstrate compliance to system requirements
    • Familiarity with Product and Quality Assurance principles and experienced in generation and disposition of product non-conformances
    • Experience performing certification testing for various certification organizations (i.e. FAA, NASA, DoD)
    • Ability to read schematics, use service manuals, follow test procedures, and use logical trouble shooting techniques
    • Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry
    • Python Scripting useage
    • Linux Operating System
    • Microsoft Office Tools: Visio, Word, Excel, Power Point, Power BI
    • Additional skills: LabView

    IMPORTANT NOTICE:
    This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance. U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.

    The Department of Defense Consolidated Adjudications Facility (DoD CAF), a federal government agency, handles the adjudicative aspects of the security clearance eligibility process for industry applicants.

    Adjudicative factors which affect the outcome of the eligibility determination include, but are not limited to, allegiance to the U.S., foreign influence, foreign preference, criminal conduct, security violations and illegal drug use.
