As an Electrical & Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the scoping, engineering, design execution, and implementation of electrical, controls, and automation engineering for capital projects.
The ideal candidate will lead engineering and design efforts, provide technical support, and ensure project execution aligns with the Company's engineering standards and guidelines.
Primary Responsibilities:
Lead electrical, controls, and automation engineering and design for Capital Projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Execute engineering and design deliverables, including power distribution diagrams, control panel layouts, safety logic tables, and construction specifications.
Develop project scopes of work, schedules, and requests for proposals (RFP) for engineering and design services.
Provide oversight and technical support for project engineering deliverables executed by Factory engineering and 3rd party consultants.
Support construction activities, respond to requests for information (RFIs), and provide engineering support during commissioning.
Coach and train Factory engineering resources, local PMO engineering teams, and 3rd party consultants on project execution requirements.
Review and approve project drawings and participate in Factory Acceptance Tests to ensure compliance with specifications.
Maintain knowledge of Nestle Purina Engineering standards and guidelines.
Required Skills & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field AND 5+ years of control systems design experience in food, beverage, or industrial manufacturing.
OR
Associate's Degree in Engineering or related field AND 7+ years of control systems design experience in food, beverage, or industrial manufacturing.
Competency in PLC (Rockwell Automation, Modicon) and PC-Based HMI/SCADA (iFIX and Ignition) design, programming, and implementation.
Competency in Safety Instrumented System design and validation.
Proficiency in PC operating systems, Industrial Networking, and Microsoft Office products.
Ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Familiarity with electrical safety procedures, NFPA 70, and control schematics interpretation.
Ability to travel up to 20% of the time and work onsite in a construction environment.
Steel toe shoes are required (to be provided by the worker at own expense).
Desired Skills & Experience:
Must be able to climb ladders and stairs. Requires daily walking through a construction site.
Pay:
$ $87 /hr.
