We are seeking a Senior Highway Project Engineer to support our Transportation group in East Brunswick NJ Morristown NJ or Marlton NJ office This role follows a hybrid work model requiring regular attendance at our East Brunswick NJ Morristown NJ or Marlton NJ office Working on the roadway team at GFT offers the opportunity to engage in transformative projects that enhance transportation infrastructure and improve community connectivity Whether working on highways and bridges or traffic engineering our team excels in resilient sustainable design and construction delivering innovative solutions that address the complexities of modern multimodal roadway systems and ensure safe efficient and reliable travel for all Explore some of our signature roadway projects here As a Senior Highway Project Engineer you ll lead roadway engineering efforts on complex transportation projects for NJDOT NJTA and other area agencies developing design strategies and technical direction that support safe efficient and sustainable infrastructure You ll take ownership of design tasks prepare plans and technical documents support project management activities help ensure projects are delivered on time to quality standards You ll lead multidisciplinary teams provide guidance to junior staff continuing to grow your technical expertise client-facing experience in transportation infrastructure work In this capacity the successful candidate will be responsible for leading development of roadway design concepts criteria technical direction managing design activities across multiple disciplines preparing reviewing engineering plans specifications estimates mentoring junior staff supporting proposal development task order projects interface with clients providing technical solutions ensuring project satisfaction assist permitting coordination submissions participate local professional societies industry groups maintain project budgets schedules track task progress concurrent assignments
