    Description

    Amentum is seeking a Small Craft Mechanic (Marine Diesel Mechanic or Electrician) with small craft experience in Naval Amphibious (NAB) Coronado, CA.

    Work is performed at Navy Training Command in Coronado, California and personnel must maintain highest standards of personal grooming and dress.

    Perform preventive and corrective maintenance.
    Propulsion systems operation and casualty control in-port and underway on small navy watercraft.
    Perform pre-start and post-operation checks.
    Maintaining cleanliness of work areas or assigned craft.

    Note:
    US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
    Occasionally work hours will be changed based on the type of training required.
    4, Detroit Diesel 8V71TI, hydraulic and electrical systems is a plus.
    Ability to work overtime.

    Service Contract Act (SCA) Compensation & Benefits:
    This is an hourly, overtime-eligible position that falls under the Service Contract Act (SCA).

    In accordance with the Health and Welfare provisions of the SCA, and in addition to your base hourly rate, you may be eligible to receive an additional health and welfare payment for each hour you work to ensure compliance with the minimums set forth by the act.


    HIRING HOURLY RANGE:
    $26.78 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
