    Atlas is seeking Senior Project Managers to join our Louisiana team. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to work a variety of potential projects including recreational parks and facilities programs, disaster recovery programs, infrastructure and road programs, educational facilities program, and/or port programs.

    Duties will be performed in both the office and in the field including significant contact with clients, residents, contractors, public agencies and private owners. Candidate may also be required to direct and supervise field activities and staff, office engineering, inspections, materials testing and act as liaison with clients/owners, consultants, contractors, design professionals and regulatory agencies as required by the program.

    Essential Duties

    • Project Manager for key accounts, serve as a primary point of contact, maintain contract and budget management, and responsible for overall project quality
    • As assigned, management and oversight of assigned projects, including scheduling, scope of work, budget control, deliverables and supervision of entry level staff, sub-contractors and consultants.
    • Preparation and tracking of project budgets, backlog projections, purchase orders, work in progress and monthly invoicing for assigned projects and accounts.
    • Initiate, develop, and maintain close client relationships including the program client and governmental entities involved
    • Develop client account plans including identification of project opportunities and new pursuits
    • Assist in the development of marketing strategies for project opportunities.
    • Actively network and participate in professional organizations at the local and regional levels
    • Provide leadership and oversite during project executions
    • Development and maintain close client and staff relationships
    • Oversee the delivery of projects; the execution of creative approaches to project development and personal dedication to serving client needs.

    Requirements

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor of Science degree in engineering or management
    • 20+ years of relevant experience in consulting engineering, Project Management, Construction, and/or Contract Administration background
    • Registration as an AIA or Louisiana Professional Engineer is a plus
    • PMP and/or CCM certification

    Technical Requirements

    • Technical experience in managing large, complex vertical or horizontal projects, including constructability reviews, schedule and budget reviews, progress updates, risk management, communication plans, and stakeholder engagement
    • Proven track record of successful project and client development
    • Experience leading a team
    • Project management experience on a variety of Federal, State, County and City construction projects and contracts
    • The ability to read and understand contracts, plans, special provisions and documents as related to the program.
    • Knowledgeable on State & Federal Contract Administration processes and procedures
    • Resolve or facilitate the resolution of discrepancies or problems with contract documents and issues arising from field operations
    • Create and maintains open and productive communications among subordinates, sub-consultants, management, contractors, clients and the public
    • Document the progress of the work, problems that develop, and work proactively in identifying potential problems/issues and solutions.
