We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Pharmacist to join our team in Tucson, AZ.

As a Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in assuring the appropriate selection, dosing, administering, and dispensing of medication orders.

Your responsibilities will include reviewing and assessing medication orders, recommending formulary alternatives, compounding and dispensing medications, providing drug information and education, and collaborating with medical staff to facilitate optimal patient care.

Responsibilities:

Review and assess medication orders to identify, prevent, and resolve potential and actual drugrelated problems.
Recommend formulary alternatives when appropriate.
Compound and dispense medications for accurate delivery to patients.
Provide drug information and education to medical staff and patients.
Communicate with physicians and other clinicians to facilitate care.
Accurately enter/verify medication orders and perform final checks prior to dispensing, including sterile products, chemotherapy, TPNs, and controlled substances.
Supervise and direct pharmacy support personnel to provide timely, comprehensive, and costeffective pharmaceutical services.
Participate in hospital safety/quality programs and assist in training new staff and students.
Respond to code arrests and other emergent situations where pharmacist assistance is needed.
Perform essential duties of the pharmacy manager or director in their absence when the pharmacy clinical coordinator is not available.

Schedule:

8pm to 6:30 am
7 days on, 7 days off

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:

License Required: Valid current Arizona Registered Pharmacist License.
Certification Required: Basic Life Support (BLS-CPR) upon employment and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of employment.
Certification Required: Board Certification is required for any new hires after January 1st, 2014. Must be board certified within 36 months of eligibility for certification.
Certification Preferred: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
