    Position Summary: The Outreach and Recruitment Specialist will support priorities as set by the Associate Director of Communications by working collaboratively across various functional areas, such as Registration, career training programs, and other academic teams to expand existing student outreach and recruitment efforts. The Specialist will identify and build untapped partnerships/communities, represent CRIPCS at local community events, and recruit to enroll target populations to consistently meet expected enrollment targets and to boost enrollment. Additionally, they will have an opportunity to develop new and creative strategies for meeting the expected increased enrollment targets over the next five years. This position entails substantial evening and weekend work, as well as, working externally in the community.

    Our Commitment to the Outreach and Recruitment Specialist

    • A competitive annual starting salary range of $54,800-$65,800 commensurate with experience.
    • 46 total days of time off (a combination of paid holidays, vacation, sick, and personal time) per year. This number increases over time.

    Responsibilities:

    • Develop and lead recruitment and outreach plans for events including major registration activities, community event participation, postcard and flyer distribution, academy recruitment sessions, open houses, and internal school events as needed.
    • Create and maintain a yearly calendar of recruitment events, research and identify relevant community events, and prioritize events based on their effectiveness, providing feedback for future planning.
    • Establish and strengthen relationships with local businesses and institutions such as libraries, embassies, churches, and service providers that serve our student population to advertise our school. Serves as the point of contact for these organizations and institutions.
    • Work in collaboration with Communications and Registration Departments to develop outreach plans for under-enrolled classes.
    • Oversee recruitment data operations and streamline communication processes for applicants by managing spreadsheets and student information system (Maestro) to ensure efficient application processing, and guarantee student compliance through meticulous management of registration checklists.
    • Responsible for registration-related updates on the school website to ensure registration-related information is disseminated through all additional outlets, e.g. digital signs, the homepage of the website, newsletter, TVs, etc.
    • Liaison with and support academic leaders in their efforts to ensure full program enrollment and develop internal and external outreach plans.
    • Work with the Communications & Development team to create streamlined internal and external promotional materials for current and new program offerings.
    • Liaison between career training and other programs to establish consistent and unified information-sharing regarding needs and recruitment across both campuses.
    • Work with the Communications & Development team to develop videos/webinars for internal and external audiences, including current students, teachers, and potential applicants, for outreach purposes and to raise awareness about major registration events and procedures.
    • Support the Communications & Development team in answering complex questions about application/registration that come through the School's social media accounts and general school outreach email addresses.
    • Conduct research to determine best outreach practices, new recruitment tools, and trends in engaging the school's target population. Additionally, analyze current student data to inform outreach efforts and offer ideas for improvement of processes that are currently in place.
    • Develop and distribute quarterly recruitment updates to staff and faculty.

    Qualifications:

    • Deep commitment to CRIPCS's core values and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) and ability to model those values in relationships with colleagues and partners.
    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing/Communications or related field and a minimum of 3 years of related experience or the appropriate combination of education and experience.
    • Demonstrates ability to work as a team player, take initiative, and function effectively under pressure.
    • Previous experience with student information systems is required, preferably Maestro.
    • Demonstrated knowledge and experience using Windows, Internet Explorer, and Microsoft Suite Applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Additional knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and social media applications is a plus.
    • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
    • Strong customer service in a diverse environment.
    • Ability to fluently speak a foreign language required (Spanish preferred).
    • Experience working within immigrant and English language learning communities.
    • Must be able to provide proof of completed Covid-19 vaccination
    • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule that responds to the needs of the community, including weekends and evenings.
