- Identifies the attitudinal, environmental, and economic barriers to the provision of quality health care and coordinates care to minimize the effects of these barriers.
- Prepares the procedure room, maintains a safe environment during the procedure, and provides care to the patient undergoing an outpatient procedure.
- Assists in obtaining supplies and organizing resources to ensure efficient delivery of quality care to all clinic patients.
- Assumes a leadership role in the multidisciplinary team to ensure that care is provided in a consistent manner.
