    Memorial Health Clinic in Aurora, NE is in search for a full-time Hospital/Rural Health Clinic Claims Specialist. This position ensures the accurate and timely processing of all insurance claims in a timely, organized and professional manner. This is a full-time in house position.

    Job Duties:

    • Submits all released claims via electronic billing or hard copy with required attachments in a timely manner.
    • Follows up on all unpaid and/or rejected claims, including Medicare and Medicaid.
    • Researches and maintains current laws, rules and regulations with billing changes by utilizing all resources.
    • Follows HIPAA regulations and ensures that the confidentiality of patients' medical, personal, financial records, employee records, and organizational records is maintained.
    • Complies, understands, and enforces state and federal regulatory requirements related to the performance of Memorial Community Health operations and requirements, including but not limited to HIPAA, the Code of Conduct, the Compliance Policy, Safety and Infection Control, all department and organization-wide policies, Critical Access Hospital requirements, and Federal and State of Nebraska regulations
    • Keeps informed of changes in major insurance plans, deductibles, coinsurance, and non-covered benefits.
    • Assists in answering inquiries from patients and third party payers.

    Requirements:

    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • One (1) year business school preferred
    • Previous insurance experience preferred
    • Medical office experience preferred
    • Demonstrated independent problem-solving skills
    • Ability to examine documents for accuracy and completeness
