As our new Software Engineer III, you'll have the satisfaction of seeing tangible results of your ingenuity as you develop features, experiences and integrations that delight the user.     We seek motivated developers that want to make a difference in people's lives. Your primary focus will be developing audio/video applications for telehealth. These are React based applications that utilize other services and apps through HTTP requests, WebSockets, and WebRTC. You will ensure that these application and modules are robust and easy to maintain. You will coordinate with teammates working on different layers of the infrastructure. A commitment to collaborative problem solving is a must. We strive to leverage the latest frontend technologies and stay abreast with industry best practices.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Contribute to the design and development of new features, products, and utilities for the Provider Access Software web application.
    • Building reusable components and front-end libraries using React
    • Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code
    • Support, maintain, document, and write unit tests
    • Support, maintain, document, and write automated tests
    • Participate in backlog grooming sessions
    • Participate and conduct design reviews
    • Work under the technical lead's general supervision on complex technical projects

    The time spent on each responsibility reflects an estimate and is subject to change dependent on business needs.

    Qualifications Expected for Position

    • 3+ years experience as a full stack Software Engineer, C++ and PHP experience preferred
    • Understands and has worked with modern JavaScript frameworks (React strongly preferred)
    • Understand general software engineering best practices
    • Familiarity with RESTful APIs
    • Has worked with GitHub
    • Understands Agile methodologies
    • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
    • 4 year degree or equivalent
    • Superb written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to work hybrid at our Goleta, CA office location is highly preferred

    The base salary range for this position is$120,000 - $155,000.In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed hereTeladoc Health Benefits 2024.Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.This information is applicable for all full-time positions.
