Established in 1968, Kool Pak LLC, an essential services LTL transportation company conveniently located in Rancho Cucamonga, California, and Clackamas, OR has an exciting position available in our Transportation Department at our terminal. Location: Clackamas, Oregon
Pay: $350.00/Day while on a run
Runs: 10-11 days out
Equipment: 2018 Freightliner or newer, automatic, ATV generator, 53-foot trailers

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Drive tractor-trailer combination.
Apply commercial driving regulation knowledge to transport and deliver products or materials.
Maneuver the truck into the loading or unloading position and follow signals from the loading/unloading crew as needed.
Drive the truck to the weigh station before and after loading along the route, document the weight, and conform to federal/state/local regulations.
Maintain driver logs according to the FMCSA regulations.
Inspect the truck before, during, and after trips and submit reports indicating truck conditions.
Read bills of lading to determine assignment.
Secure load with load-securing devices on the trailer during transit.
Assist with loading or unloading the truck.
Obtain the customer's signature and collect payment for services if required.
Inventory and inspect goods.
Temperature check product, wrap goods using pads, packing paper, and containers, and secure load to trailer wall using acceptable methods.
Other duties as assigned.

Experience, Abilities & Qualities Required:

Class A commercial driver's license (CDL).
2 plus years of Class A driving experience.
0-3 years of reefer experience.
0-2 years of less than load (LTL) experience.
Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Card).
21 years old to drive a commercial motor vehicle across state lines (interstate); to drive a commercial motor vehicle that contains hazardous materials.
Previous forklift experience and become newly recertified.
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and organize.
Excellent communication skills are a must, both written and verbal, as you will be interacting with internal and external sources via phone and in person.
Computer experience required (spreadsheets & data entry).
