    Job Description

    A Linecooks' primary task is to drive the guests culinary adventure. The Linecook will skillfully execute the menu items to standard and guest preference; complete all necessary mise en place, maintain a clean work area and contribute to guests overall satisfaction.

    Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

    • Work various stations to complete food orders to specification using various techniques
    • Ability to successfully execute grill, garde manger and fry stations
    • Ability to execute recipes/preparation of all food items including plating and presentation per standards
    • Partner with FOH colleagues to ensure 100% guest satisfaction
    • Complete all prep & side work to specification; ensure workstation if properly stocked
    • Maintain a clean and organized workstation including tools, equipment, cutting boards, etc.
    • Oversee the successful daily operations of Rooftop Lounge
    • Ensure work area is fully stocked to standard for next shift
    • Maintain positive guest and interdepartmental relations at all times
    • Perform other job-related activities as required or assigned

    Job Requirements

    • U.S. Citizenship/Work Authorization required
    • High School Diploma or equivalent required, Culinary degree preferred
    • 1 – 3 years cooking experience in a New York City venue (Lounge, Hotel, Restaurant)
    • Strong knowledge and interest in food and beverage with a sincere interest in the hospitality industry
    • NYC Food Handler's Certification
    • Ability to read and follow recipes
    • Strong working knowledge of various cooking methods and sanitation
    • Excellent knife handling skills
    • Great communication skills, professional demeanor and appearance
    • Able to work in a team environment and welcome feedback and direction
    • Capable of standing for prolonged periods of time
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
    • Ability to reach, bend, stoop, climb up and down stairs, walk, and carry multiple objects
    • Flexible schedule to include day shift, night shift, weekends and holidays
    • Ability to perform tasks with accuracy, speed, and attention to detail
    • Ability to remain calm in a fast-paced environment
    • LIFO, FIFO, marking of all food items as required
