    Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume):Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Five (5) years of relevant full-time experience in either of these areas: Organizational Development, Workforce Development, Training or Professional/Career Development. Supervisory experience. Experience working with a learning management system (LMS). Public speaking experience.

    Preferred Qualifications:Advanced degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Professional HR certification (SHRM-SCP, SHRM-CP, HRCI or PHR/SPHR). Experience in a higher education, healthcare, or government setting.

    Brief Description of Duties:Reporting to the AVP for People, Culture & Engagement, the Manager of Training & Organizational Development will develop and oversee the Training & Organizational Development unit. This includes hiring and developing a team of training and learning management specialists and working with faculty, staff, and senior leaders to analyze the learning needs of the institution. The Manager will develop learning approaches and curricula and lead the development of in-person, virtual, and on-demand learning programs; as such, proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is essential. In this role, it is expected that the manager will provide continuous improvement opportunities and take the initiative to drive incremental change in processes and systems. The incumbent will also serve as a strategic advisor to the AVP for People, Culture & Engagement on key workforce development issues and have demonstrated success in leading efforts that focus on learning and development, succession planning, organizational development, mentoring and coaching.

    The Manager of Training & Organizational Development will be charged with:
    • Strategic Planning and Development:
      • This involves leading the formulation of a strategic vision for training initiatives. Providing outcomes and feedback to leadership and presenting opportunities for improvement in all aspects of our learning and development programs. This requires an understanding of the institution's needs and the creation of comprehensive training plans. Create training content and develop training materials. Regularly research and analyze peer institutions and industry best practices to position campus HR as the best-in-class, forward-thinking leader in higher education. Working with Business Partners to develop and implement strategies to assist new staff with career paths and professional development. Staying on trend with training methodologies and adult education.
    • Manage Virtual Learning/Learning Management Systems:
      • Track progress, assess learning outcomes, and personalize learning experiences. Work with Virtual Learning vendors to promote microlearning opportunities, credentialing, and CEU opportunities.
    • Training:
      • Managing all logistical aspects of training sessions for both onsite and offsite locations. Delivering high-quality, impactful training sessions. Oversee the administration and recordkeeping of all learning management activities. Regularly assessing the impact and effectiveness of training programs and making strategic adjustments as needed to align with organizational goals. This includes analyzing feedback, measuring learning outcomes, and modifying programs based on evaluations.Working closely with the Employee & Labor Relations, the Office of Equity & Access, and other departments to recommend and conduct training to improve performance.
    • Staff Management:
      • Hire, train, and manage team members, including student staff.Ensure that the team is participating in professional development and training.
    • Other duties or projects as assigned as appropriate to rank and departmental mission.
    Special Notes:This is a Management Confidential position. This is a full-time appointment. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Minimum salary threshold must be met to maintain FLSA exemption.
