    Insight Global is looking for a Data Governance Program Manager to remotely support a client in VA.

    The Data Governance Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of data governance strategies to ensure the quality, security, and privacy of data within a public health context.

    They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to establish data standards, manage data assets, and promote data literacy across the organization.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Develop and implement comprehensive data governance policies and procedures in alignment with public health regulations and standards.
    Lead the data governance team, facilitating collaboration between IT, data science, public health experts, and other stakeholders.
    Oversee data quality management, including the establishment of data quality metrics and monitoring systems.
    Ensure compliance with data privacy laws such as HIPAA, GDPR, and other relevant regulations.
    Manage data-related risks and develop contingency plans to address data breaches or loss.
    Promote a culture of data stewardship and literacy, providing training and resources to staff members.
    Collaborate with technology partners to implement data governance tools and systems.
    Provide guidance on data usage and interpretation to support evidence-based decision-making in public health initiatives.

    Must Haves:


    5+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related role, preferably within the healthcare or public health sector.

    Proven experience with data privacy and security regulations.
    Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
    Previous experience leading a team (team lead, supervisor, manager, etc.)
    Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, interdisciplinary environment.
    Strong knowledge of data governance, enterprise IT assets and data protection approaches

    Plusses:
    Bachelors or Masters degree in Public Health or previous experience working in Public Health sector.
