    Client Advisor (similar to a Client Technology Manager / Senior Network Administrator / IT Project Manager / vCIO / etc.) for a Managed Service Provider ( MSP )

    The PositionWhat is a Client Advisor? The term Client Advisor (similar to a Client Technology Manager / Senior Network Administrator / IT Project Manager) is a bit unique to Olmec, but essentially, it's a Senior Network Engineer, Senior Systems Administrator, Project Manager, Team Lead, an Account Manager all wrapped up into one position.


    As a Client Advisor, you will:
    Manage your own set of Olmec clientsYou'll work closely the Helpdesk team that is also dedicated to a mutual set of clientsYou will oversee your teams, acting as a senior level of escalation, as well as a mentor for your colleaguesFor your clients, you will not only work on advanced day to day technical issues, you will also be in charge of overseeing any project workYou will be the 'go to' technical resource for your clients when it comes to making technical recommendations and providing network designs (upgrades, enhancements, network refreshes, etc.)


    You will ultimately be responsible for making sure all of your customers needs are metWith the Client Advisor role (similar to a Client Technology Manager), you can expect to be on the road - visiting with and performing onsite work for our clients - and to work remotely from the Olmec office and/or your home.

    Working for an MSP (Managed Service Provider) is a unique experience compared to a 'standard' IT Dept. job for a single company - Considering that you end up managing multiple networks for multiple companies, it requires the following qualities/experience:

    • Giving 100% no matter the task, from simple issues to complicated issuesThe LocationOlmec is based in Denville, NJ, a convenient commute for most of northern New Jersey.
    Denville has tons of shops, restaurants and services within walking distance of our office.

    As a Client Advisor, you can expect to routinely travel throughout north & central NJ, as well as NYC and other areas on occasion, and when you're not on the road, you'll either work from home or our headquarters in Denville.

    KEEP THE CLIENT HAPPYTechnical requirementSEVERAL years experience working for a Managed Service Provider ( MSP )Experience managing projects, big and small, on your ownExperience creating diagrams with Microsoft VisioExperience w/ support ticketing systems (such as ConnectWise / AutoTask) and network monitoring softwareExperience installing, updating, and troubleshooting Windows 7 / 8 / 10 operating systems, as well as desktop & laptop hardwareExperience w/ network-based Antivirus solutions (Bitdefender / SentinelOne knowledge is a plus)Experience installing & supporting Windows 2016 and Windows 2019 Servers (both operating systems & hardware)Experiencing installing & supporting network-based printers & copiersExperience configuring / troubleshooting network switches, firewalls (SonicWALL, Meraki, & Cisco ASA experience is a plus), and WiFi equipmentExperience installing & supporting virtualization technologies, specifically VMWare-based products (although experience w/ Citrix & Hyper-V is welcome)#J-18808-Ljbffr
