    Description

    Marketing Assistant

    Supports the Marketing Manager/Assistant Manager in executing marketing initiatives, promotions, and projects that enhance the organization's brand and services. Responsibilities include coordinating marketing activities, assisting with material production, and ensuring timely, accurate delivery of campaigns. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and design tools. Collaboration across teams and adherence to compliance standards are essential to deliver high-quality marketing support aligned with organizational goals.

    Essential Position Functions:

    • Assist in the execution of marketing campaigns, promotions, and projects under the guidance of the Marketing Manager or Assistant Manager.
    • Coordinate the production and delivery of marketing materials, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
    • Support advertising, event marketing, social media, and digital marketing activities, including creative development and basic analytics reporting.
    • Maintain organized records of marketing assets, vendor communications, and project timelines.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to gather information for marketing initiatives and ensure compliance with brand standards.
    • Provide administrative support for marketing events, meetings, and budget tracking.
    • Monitor industry trends and share insights to support marketing strategies.
    • Perform other related duties as assigned.

    Education, Experience, Skills and Abilities:

    High School Diploma or Equivalent Experience required. Previous financial industry and customer service experience preferred. Bachelor's Degree required and 0 to three years of experience in marketing Hands on experience managing social media platforms and paid social campaigns Ability to work with little supervision and ability to make sound decision in accordance to the brand standards and department guidelines. Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook). Must be proficient in technology applications including the Credit Union's operating system and specialized software required for performance of position. Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rates, ratios and percentages. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop kneel, crouch, crawl; talk or hear and taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This position may qualify as Remote or Hybrid with a home base at one of Wescom's offices.
