Cardiac/thoracic Surgery Full-Time position in San Francisco, California - Aya Locums
Description
Aya Locums is seeking a Board-Certified Physician Assistant for a Cardiothoracic Surgery position.
Contract Length: 3-6 months with the option to extend.
Shift Details: 6:00am – 6:30pm or 6:30am.
Schedule: 3/12hr shifts/week. Usually 3 wknd shifts/months & 3 night shifts/month.
Department description:
Minimal 1st assist time as we have 2 fellows on service. ~50% ICU time. No clinic. Sometimes round w/heart failure/transplant, ICU, mechanical circ support.
Work with physicians/surgeons/APP colleagues and other clinical and administrative staff to ensure efficient patient management based on accepted practice, including but not limited to, taking histories, performing physical examinations, peri-operative planning/coordinating with outside providers and primary care providers (PCPs) as applicable, responding to changes in patient status, providing prescriptions/evaluations/referrals, diagnostic tests/treatments as permitted under core privileges and standardized procedures.
