    Essential Functions

    • Basic duties include but are not limited to:
    • Filling and delivering medication orders for all age groups under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
    • Answering and screening telephone calls and referring calls to a pharmacist when appropriate.
    • Processing cart fills, refills to automated dispensing machines and replenishments to emergency kits and carts.
    • Demonstrating proficiency with equipment and software.
    • Basic duties in the specialty pharmacy setting include but are not limited to:
    • Filling specialty prescriptions under direct supervision of a pharmacist.
    • Answering and screening telephone calls and referring calls to a pharmacist when appropriate.
    • Utilizing appropriate supplies including ice packs as appropriate to support shipping specialty medications.
    • Demonstrating proficiency with equipment and software.
    • Demonstrates proficiency with equipment and software. Maintains environment that supports and respects diversity and inclusion to promote creative problem solving. Supports Novant Health policies, system-wide department initiatives, regulatory and accreditation standards, and quality/process improvement efforts. Successfully completes (in required time frames) education and annual competency requirements to support training, accreditation and licensure.

    Experience:
    prior healthcare experience preferred Refer to the Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096.

    Registry with applicable State Board(s) of Pharmacy within 90 days of hire upon completion of pharmacy training program as specified by NH required.

    Additional Skills/Requirements (required)

    • Considerable knowledge and application of basic math skills (including ratio and proportion relationships), strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Basic technology skills. Other duties as outline in Novant Health and facility specific policies and procedures. Ability to drive/travel to multiple facilities/locations as needed.
