- Minimum Requirements: 2 years of Cath lab experience or graduate of a recognized cardiovascular program.
- Education: Successful completion of the Cardiovascular Science Exam and Cardiovascular Invasive Registry Exam.
- License(s)/Certification(s): Required current CVT or RT(R) certification, BLS Certification, ACLS Certification, and Active RCIS Registration or RT(R) CI.
- Scrub Tech Position:
- Prepare sterile table and supplies for procedures.
- Proficient in scrubbing, gowning, and maintaining a sterile field.
- Assist in prepping and draping procedures.
- Anesthetize patients as per physician preference.
- Conduct procedures while ensuring patient and physician needs are met.
- Secure sheath post-procedure and assist in closure.
- Dispose of sharps, handle patient transfer, and assist in room turnover.
- Monitor Tech Position:
- Perform Quality Control and record patient information.
- Assist in patient and equipment care, positioning patients, and monitoring equipment.
- Report EKG and hemodynamic changes promptly.
- Record and compute hemodynamic data for physician review.
- X-ray Duties:
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols.
- Participate in Quality Improvement processes and assist in various administrative tasks.
- Assist in inventory control and troubleshooting monitoring equipment.
