    Manufacturing Process Engineer with a focus on Plastic Injection Molding


    Summary/Objective:
    Develops workflow, workstation and equipment improvement recommendations within the company. Fine tune processes by researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment. Evaluates manufacturing processes, applies knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling and materials. Enters and updates data into the company system.

    Key Responsibilities
    Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs

    Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching testing methods

    Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.

    Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods.

    Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor and material costs.

    Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

    Maintains product and process database

    Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians.

    Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops.

    Maintains and improves document control of programs and systems.

    Ensures compliance with codes, guidelines, best practices, and policies.

    Collaborates with the operations department to identify and troubleshoot problems.

    Collaborates with project engineers from other plants to share problems and solutions.

    Performs other related duties as assigned.


    Education/Experience:
    BS degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial).

    Manufacturing experience

    Preferred- Experience in CNC machining, Injection Molding industry, or related fields.

    Experience with SolidWorks and AutoCAD preferred

    Proven Lean manufacturing and/or Six Sigma skills desired.

    Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

    Strong supervisory and leadership skills.

    Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

    Basic understanding of ISO 9000 design requirements.

    Expected Hours of Work
    This is a Full-Time Hourly position required to work Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime.

    Travel:
    5%
