    **Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN) - Oncology and Hematology

    **Job Summary:

    • We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at MercyOne Northeast Iowa. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to patients with oncology and hematology conditions.

    Description:

    The RN utilizes critical thinking to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate outcome-based care for oncology and hematology patients. They facilitate communication with physicians, patients, family members, other departments, and/or team members.

    The RN adheres to MercyOne performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with MercyOne.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Conducts an initial and ongoing assessment to gather and analyze data.
    2. Identifies patient short and long-term goals and develops them into an outcome-based plan of care.
    3. Implements an outcome-based plan of care.
    4. Evaluates patient response to treatments and modifies the outcome-based plan.
    5. Communicates relevant clinical information to optimize patient outcomes.
    6. Edits patient and family to meet identified needs.
    7. Based on principles of growth and development, provides care appropriate to the age-related needs of the patients served on his/her assigned unit.
    8. Adheres to all safety, infection control, and employee health policies and procedures.

    Qualifications:

    • Associate Degree: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing / bachelor's degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 1-year clinical patient care experience.
    • Current Iowa RN license, BLS, Mandatory Reporter. Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) designation or achieve within 18 months of hire.
