    Supervisory Responsibility:
    Supervise the resident care team of the community that includes the following positions:

    Care Assistants


    REPORTS TO :
    Clinical Services Director


    Essential Functions:
    The following duties are normal for this position. These are not exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

    Work Duties

    • Assesses resident needs, and provides necessary nursing care as per resident's care plan.
    • Manage CNAs and Resident Assistants by carrying out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance, addressing complaints and resolving problems, possess the authority to hire and terminate employment with accordance of HR established policy and process.
    • Participate in Pathways of Purpose philosophy, knowledge of the program, and functional engagement during workday.
    • Ensures that resident rights are maintained.
    • Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques and per physician orders.
    • Documents nursing history and physical assessment for assigned patients upon admission;
    • Handles resident, family, or physician complaints/concerns, referring issues to CSD as necessary.
    • Respects advance directives and assists residents to a dignified death; and provides emotional and spiritual support to family and other staff as needed.
    • Responds to life threatening situations based upon nursing standards, policies, procedures, and protocol.
    • Participates in department and/or unit performance improvement activities.
    • Attends in-service training programs for department specific and other relevant programs, i.e., safety, infection control, orientation, etc., as scheduled.
    • Is aware of and carries out general community and specific departmental safety policies; always reports hazards/safety issues promptly.
    • Is aware of and practices principles of infection control; reports infection control issues promptly.
    • Other duties as assigned

    • Provide high performance leadership and management of team to support the achievement of community and corporate performance goals. Observe and effectively manage the culture of the team
    • Create an environment for team members that honors, respects and values individual opinions and suggestions; demonstrate fair treatment and ethical business practices; support development and reward achievement
    • Communicate performance standards to team; observe, measure and evaluate performance to ensure standards are achieved; conduct regular performance observation, assessment and discussion with team members
    • Communicate information that supports team and company performance and communicate reasons for decisions
    • Ensure quality recruiting, hiring, development and retention practices that support company procedures and standards
    • Administer compensation, rewards and recognition that support individual and team performance toward achieving shared goals
    • Perform various related essential duties as required by the vice president or by the Anthem home office

    • Participate in team activities, meetings and practices
    • Actively build productive relationships with others
    • Practice "conversations for action" to understand and meet internal and external customer conditions of satisfaction This includes but is not limited to:

    Job Type:
    Full-time


    Pay:
    $55, $65,000.00 per year

    Memory Care: 3 years (Preferred)
