- Prepare annual expense plan and periodic expense forecasts
- Isolate key drivers, quantify impacts, and forecast implications to the business recognizing how different data points fit together
- Prepare and help build a storyline for financial updates to senior leadership
- Use analysis to influence and drive action within the business by using fact-based, holistic, and forward-looking perspectives to identify emerging issues and current trends, and assist in the implementation of strategies
- Use data analytics to inform expense planning, forecasting, and budget analysis
- Continuously develop and improve analytical processes to increase automation and improve accuracy
- Demonstrate ability to utilize resources and produce results to solve problems or issues with minimal support
- Accept responsibility for the outcome of his/her own efforts
- Provide accurate, timely reports with financial insight to allow business partners to improve performance
- Develop and lead effective presentations for small groups
- Drive conversations with leadership to understand the business implications of current trends
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance or Accounting
- 3 or more years of related experience in Business Intelligence
- Previous ERP system experience
- Demonstrated capability in intermediate business knowledge, including deep financial skills and an understanding of financial flows
- Proficiency in analytical and financial model-building
- Required experience with SQL, Power BI, and either R or Python
- Proven ability to work through a problem from start to finish: defining the problem, identifying necessary data, locating the data, building required models and visualizations, and effectively communicating the results
- Knowledge of statistics, data analytics, and data visualization is highly advantageous
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
- Strong oral and written communication skills for effective collaboration with both internal and external finance employees
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work efficiently within a team environment
- Effective time management and organizational skills, with a proven ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Ability to inspire trust and confidence in clients through strategic and diplomatic relationship management

Job Summary
The Business Analyst analyzes and communicates financial results for key products, markets, and initiatives, develops compelling storylines to help deepen client insights, and recommends creative actions to guide strategy and operations. This role formulates financial projections to support predicting and tracking performance and diagnosing potential issues.

While performing general office duties for this position, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand and/or walk around (including the use of stairs). In addition, there is an occasional need to bend, twist or stoop to open/close cabinets, reach for files or other standard office-type objects.
Work Environment
The office environment is generally quiet and, in a temperature, controlled setting with random adjustments in noise or temperature due to conversations, unscheduled maintenance repairs to the building or its interior offices or unpredictable situations due to weather or other acts beyond company control.
